Jem is truly outrageous

Jem and the Holograms is a fun and outrageous 80's cartoon. When rock and roll was big, Jerrica Benton is a manager of a company called Starlight. This company was left for her by her father and mother after they had passed away. Jerrica finds a computer known as synergy, which built by her father to be the "the ultimate audio-visual entertainment synthesizer". Which is also left to her in his will.

Jem is an alter ego of Jerrica, Synergy (the computer) is able to make a hologram of Jerrica using earrings to make her look like a rock star. Her band is called Jem and Holograms, they have two different rivals called The Misfits and The Stingers. The plot is that Jerrica is trying to keep everyone from knowing she is Jem and supporting the twelve foster girls known as the starlight girls at the same time.

This show's art is great at showing the style of the fashion and hair that made the 80's so famous. Though the show didn't last long the impact that it made did. This show taught you  things about love, family, friends and what a great and safe way to have fun. There where songs in this show that had a lot of meaning, though I think some of the songs had a more mature feeling like for teens rather then for children.

One of my favorite songs they had was called Starlight which was sung by the character Jacqui Benton (Jerrica's mother before she died). It is such a wonderful song. I hope you like as much as I do.
