Dexter's lab!!!

Dexter’s laboratory is a fun show that I loved watching while I was growing up.
It started in 1996 and ended in 2003, Dexter’s lab was about a eight year old boy who had built a lab behind a bookcase. Dexter’s older sister Dee Dee always comes into his lab and destroys it.

Dexter is a genius that works in his lab all day with his computer that can react with him. Dexter calls the computer, computer for being a genius he’s bad with coming up with names. Dee Dee is a ballerina for all the trouble it takes Dexter to keep her out of his lab she always seems to get in it.

Dexter has an enemy named Mandark who lives down the street from Dexter.
Mandark’s real name is Susan, Mandark is always trying to out do Dexter and make a fool of Dexter.  Mandark is in love with Dexter’s older sister Dee Dee, though she never really pays attention to Mandark.

No matter how Mandark tries to beat Dexter at what he does he can’t. Though they both have labs Dexter is a better inventor of the two. Dexter’s parent do not know about his lab, though there has been a few times that they had found out in the end Dexter brain washes them to forget.

Dexter never really seems to have any friends except his sister if you count her a one. Dee Dee has two friends that love ballet as much as she does, they tend to mess with Dexter after they get bored of dolls.

Dexter’s lab is one of the best shows that was on cartoonetwork in my opinion.

Catdog

Catdog started in 1998 and ended in 2001, this show is about two brothers that are conjoined in the middle of their body. One is a dog and one is a cat, they have to deal with the daily struggle of being conjoined and doing what each want to do.

Cat is a very intelligent character, he tended to use big words though they were easy to get the hang on the meaning of the words. Cat loved to read books and tricking dog into doing what he wants to do. Dog is a bit slower then cat, he loves chasing cars, and tennis balls, loves eating garbage. Dog always makes messes despite to cat’s dislike of messes.

Catdog are consider outcast due to their appearance, they are constantly harassed by a gang of dogs called the Greaser Dogs. One of the fellow Greaser dogs named Shriek is the only girl dog in the gang. Shriek is head over heels with dog though he never notices he just sees her as a good friend.

Catdog are very different beside being conjoined, not even them being a cat and a dog. It’s the fact that being brothers make their strange bond is what makes them so different from any other show I’ve seen.

The art style of this show is a form of art is a bit familiar to me, even so I still love this art style.  I think they should bring this show back, it would be good for kids to see that even if your completely different from your siblings you can find something in common with each other.

Fosters Home!!

Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends is a show that began in 2004 and ended in 2009. The show had a great popularity and a wide audience. In the show there is a bunch of voice actors that had been in or are in very popular cartoons.  The show was fun and very creative, I love the art style of this show its so cute.

Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends, Is a show about a little boy named Mac his mother told him he had to give up his Imaginary friend named Bloo. Mac wasn’t ready to give him up, mac had heard  about a place called Fosters and thought it would be a great place for him to stay.

In the process of getting Bloo there he made many new friends. He also met Madame Foster, She created the home for the imaginary friends to stay. Madame Foster is a fun and crazy lady, Though she makes great points when someone is in trouble. Frankie is Madame Foster granddaughter she takes care of the place by cleaning it and helping to friends out with food, cleaning their rooms, and finding them a new home.

One of my favorite character is Bloo, if Imaginary friends were real I’d want him to be mine. Another one I like is Cheese, at first he annoyed me but as time went on he grew on me. Cheese came in the scene when Mac woke up and saw cheese think he created a new friend. Cheese ended up being one of his neighbors friends.

I would tell anyone that has kids that they should sit down with their kids and watch this with them.

Alvin and The Chipmunks

Alvin and the chipmunks is a show that started in the late 50's but became a hit in the 80's. The chipmunks started as a musical group before it became a show. Sometime around the early 60’s in 1961 it be came a show but it sadly ended in the one-year later.

It came back in 1983 and then lasted until 1990, The show still had the same concept. The plot of the show was based on the three chipmunks that are found by a human man named David Seville. Simon, Theodore and Alvin became a singing group and traveled around the world.

In the 1980’s series of Alvin and the chipmunks introduced the Chipettes as the girl version of the chipmunks. They were the counter parts, That became the her love interest later in the show.  The chipettes also became a singing a group, towards the end of the series it became more of what happened to the their real parents.

In 2007 the live action movie came out starting the three chipmunks in a new look.
The plot from the show was still there Alvin Simon and Theodore still sang and became a music group. Though one thing did change in the movie, they had a crazy manager that tried to kidnap them from dave so he could make money.

In 2009 the sequel came out introducing us to the newly formed Chipettes. The girls were found my the chipmunks old manager and did the same thing he did to the chipmunks.  I just love the art style from the 80's updated version of the show. I also love how they incorporated live people in to the movies.

Hey Arnold

Hey Arnold, This show helped me get closer to my grandfather. We loved this show; he would call me everyday and ask if I saw the new episode. This show is creative and fun, the characters are very different from any other show I had seen before watching this. The characters were all different shapes and sizes, different colors, and different way of speaking.

This 1996 show taught me never to be so freaky obsessed with someone and hide behind a trash can looking at their photo. My favorite part of the show that I know is mean but so funny is when Helga would punch Brainy in the face after he breathed on her all creepily. The show’s art style is unique and I have not seen that style in a cartoon again.

The funny this is that Arnold’s mother had the football shaped head just like him.
The show is great, but I didn’t really like the movie very much. The plot of the story is about a boy that’s living with his grandparents in their apartments. They had very strange people living in their apartment.

Most of the time Arnold was a fun loving child at other times he was sad and lonely wanting to know who his parent’s were. He’s grandparents are very loving and supporting of him.  Through the show he searches for his parents in hopes that one day he will find his parents.

I loved this show and would definitely tell people they should watch this. It was one of the best show from the 90’s.

Jem is truly outrageous

Jem and the Holograms is a fun and outrageous 80's cartoon. When rock and roll was big, Jerrica Benton is a manager of a company called Starlight. This company was left for her by her father and mother after they had passed away. Jerrica finds a computer known as synergy, which built by her father to be the "the ultimate audio-visual entertainment synthesizer". Which is also left to her in his will.

Jem is an alter ego of Jerrica, Synergy (the computer) is able to make a hologram of Jerrica using earrings to make her look like a rock star. Her band is called Jem and Holograms, they have two different rivals called The Misfits and The Stingers. The plot is that Jerrica is trying to keep everyone from knowing she is Jem and supporting the twelve foster girls known as the starlight girls at the same time.

This show's art is great at showing the style of the fashion and hair that made the 80's so famous. Though the show didn't last long the impact that it made did. This show taught you  things about love, family, friends and what a great and safe way to have fun. There where songs in this show that had a lot of meaning, though I think some of the songs had a more mature feeling like for teens rather then for children.

One of my favorite songs they had was called Starlight which was sung by the character Jacqui Benton (Jerrica's mother before she died). It is such a wonderful song. I hope you like as much as I do.

Monster High

Monster High is an internet cartoon though it has had three movies on nickelodeon. This show is about the children of the monsters that we all of us grew up knowing and some of us being afraid of.
This show is mostly on the school life of these monster teens. The main characters are Frankie, Clawdeen, Ghoulia, Cleo, Deuce, Draculaura, and Lagoona.

Their parents are Franken Stein, The werewolf, The Zombies, The Mummy, Medusa, Dracula, and The sea Monster. Their children are some much different then them in every way. Its a fun little show the episodes only last like four minutes. The show is so very well animated for such little clips.

Each episode deals with a different problem that teens deal with everyday. Like which boy you like, or bad hair days. They also deal with what problems  that teen boys deal with, like what they should get for their girlfriends. The art style is almost anime but still american cartoon style.

This show also has it's own line of fashion dolls. The doll look exactly the same as the characters on the show. sometimes they come out looking better then the character on the show its self. This show and line of dolls tell little girls and boys to be your self, Be unique, Be a monster.

I love that something so simple and sweet puts out a slogan that tell you to be 100% your self.

Adventure Time!!!

Adventure Time is a show that started in 2010 and has been a big hit with the children and perteens. The are style of this show is similar to that of the early Mickey mouse show. At points they have joints and move like normal people then there are times when they wiggle their arms around like there's no bones.

This show is about to best friend brothers fighting evil and becoming heroes with a little help from their friends from time to time. Finn is the main character in the show with his big brother Jake, Jake is the second main character in the show. Jake is a stretchy dog that talks, Everything in that show talks. There candy people and a prince that has gum hair, her name is bubble gum princess. Bubble princess shows you even princess can be ver smart.

This show, shows you no matter how different you are everyone can be friends. Vampires, Humans, Dogs and even bubble gum princess can be great friends.

This show is fun wacky and creative, All the characters are fun and loving. In a weird way the show has some sort of message in each episode you can learn. This show has something that everyone will love. I love that each character has their own fashion style, that there's always something fun and wacky going on.

I think that any child would love this show, I know I do.

Rugrats a family show that everyone loves

Rugrats is a family fun cartoon that was loved by millions and is still loved today.
This 1991 show was about a bunch of babies that they could talk to each other but the adults can’t hear them.  The leader is Tommy Pickles, he is so cute, and all he needs to get out of the play pin.

Tommy’s second man in charge is Chucky, then it’s the twins Phil and lil.
There was also Angelica Tommy’s cousin, she’s mean and curl to Tommy and his friends just because she’s older. Now with the Rugrats the art is so wonderful and different from anything I saw before that, even though I was about four or five.

I was always a big fan of this show, the animators drew the character with their own look that went with that characters personality. I loved how the twins looked identical though just a switch of the bow they can fool anybody to think their the other twin.

The babies really walk as if they were real babies. The one thing that messed this show was all grown up it ruined the show at least to me it did.  The movie for the all grown up was good but the show just took it too far.

I this love the art work the characters this have the features of the babies but they look so grown up, Just like the title said all Grown Up.

I would really like your option on how you felt about the show all grown up.

You know my option now tell me yours.

Thundercats are go!

The thunder cats were a popular cartoon in the 80’s.  The characters were cat like humans. They each had their own markings like a cat. The show’s plot was about a team of heroes that home planet has died.

The team of heroes ends up on another planet called the third earth, which is supposed to be our earth in the future. An evil came to try to take over the third earth, while the Thundercats try to save their new home for the evil.

The art is an early form of anime that most of the 80’s cartoons used. A way to tell that it is anime because of the way the eyes are draw smaller then in a show like betty boop which had very big eyes and a very big head to go with it.

The bodies look similar to the real human body, all the joints on the bodies move like a real human unlike mickey mouse or once a again betty boop. Their bodies had no sense of joints at times.

The Thundercats started in 1985 and ended in 1989, though today it has been brought back with an updated look and a modern day plot. In the new plot of the 2011 show is that the planet has been attacked. The heroes fled in order to seek out a book called the omens.

Though it is still based on the same concept the art and plot are the only this that was updated to catch the eye of younger children in today’s time.
